Planning your wedding can be difficult or easy. Yes, I said lightly. But as with everything, convenience only comes with the right attitude. Wedding invitations are no different! Before you start buying wedding invitations, ask your groom, family, etc. Some important aspects are described.
Then, when you’re ready to talk to the cashier (or hit the buy button), you’ll have all the information you need at your fingertips. In this blog, we share 4 things you need to decide before you start buying invitations.
Decide who will design your wedding invitation
This first question may surprise you, but it is the most important. In the digital age, there are more options for wedding invitation services than most other wedding suppliers. For example, you can partner with small local boutiques, buy trendy stationery you find on social media, get digital downloads from Etsy, or order from big online stores like Wish N Wed. However, each of these options has a unique shopping experience that has advantages and disadvantages, so you should choose the one that suits you.
Small local boutique
Pros: You can see many of their designs and their previous work, meeting them in person in terms of quality and style. There is no ominous premonition. It also supports small local businesses.
Cons: Options are limited by region and prices may vary by store.
Purchase online from an individual stationer
Pros: This option offers maximum personal attention and flexibility. Get professional etiquette and design guidelines so you don’t have to figure it out on your own. There are also many stationery shops in various artistic styles throughout the country.
Cons: A higher level of service comes at a higher price, but most offer cheaper options. Properly researching social channels also takes a lot of time. However, Etsy can help speed up your search.
Digital Download from Etsy
Pros: This is the cheapest option. Etsy’s search engine also has many options.
Cons: Printing is at your own risk and can be difficult, time-consuming, and of poor quality. There is also little to no support after purchasing the artwork.
Order from a large online store
Pros: This is also an economical option that includes production, so while it may cost more than a digital download, you’ll save yourself the headache of printing them yourself. There is also a wide range of models.
Cons: The designs are limited to customize and revisions will be limited.
Each of the above options is a legitimate choice, and the pros and cons between the two may overlap. You should research what works best for you. Need help making a wedding invitation? Or do you prefer to do it yourself? Want something quick and easy? Or do you want something special for your wedding? The answer to this question will make your search easier.
How many wedding invitations to order?
Before planning our wedding, we were asked how many guests we had in mind. When determining the number of guests, focus on the number of guests you invite, not the individual workforce.
We also recommend ordering invitations in all cases. Invitations may get lost in the mail or the mother-in-law may decide to add guests at the last minute. You’ll also want to keep a few as souvenirs!
If you go with digital invitations then you don’t need to design extra invitations for extra money and waste paper. After a deep analysis, I found Wish N Wed is a perfect choice. They are offering a free Save The Date wedding invitation template easy to customize.
How much do wedding invitations cost?
Finally, the person you’ve been waiting for. The cost of a wedding invitation depends on several things, such as the level of service (as discussed in point 1), and the quantity and quality of the materials.
I personally suggest you go with digital invitations.
The wedding invitation should reflect the style of the wedding. After all, an invitation is the first impression your guests will have on their big day. Will your wedding be a black tie? Then select Official Invitation. If you’re having a castle-style wedding, go for something simple and rustic.
Often couples decide to use wedding colors on their wedding invitations. This is a great place to start! But should the wedding card match the color of the wedding? it’s fine! You may have a destination wedding and want to film the venue. This is a great way to get your guests excited about your trip! You can also add layout art that may or may not include a wedding theme or color scheme.
Wedding invitations can be as simple or as sophisticated as you want them to be. But the only way to mitigate them is to stay within your comfort level. Whether that means hiring a professional clerk to handle the details or doing it yourself to save money, the choice is yours!
Here at Wish N Wed, we’re happy to help. We offer personalized and semi-personalized invitations, both of which offer great flexibility. Ask your questions!
